Maccabees and Solovyov and Revelation

I heard this reading in mass today, and everything reminded me of End Times prophecies found in the Book of Revelation, which came from the first Book of Maccabees and various Old Testament prophecies no doubt (especially Daniel). 

Then I remembered the writings of a mystic Russian philosopher named Solovyov, Vladimir  Sergeyevich. He is famous among conservative Catholics for a short story about the Anti-Christ. There are many things in common between the Maccabees, the Book of Revelation, and the Solovyov story. Among them are, the Desecration of the Jewish Temple (the Abomination of Desolation), the call for One World Religion, and an Anti-Christ (which in the Maccabees book would be a role played by Antiochus.)  The main idea that reactionary conservatives tend to grab hold of in these apocalyptic works is that the Anti-Christ will appear as a Being of Light. Reactionary conservatives love that Solovyov indicates that the Anti-Christ will be saintly, pacifist, and vegetarian.  He will stop wars, end poverty, and establish a one world religion.  As you well know, reactionary conservatives are against all those things...they love war, conquest, people starving, people not getting medical care, and killing animals to eat. What is frustrating in dealing with such blind ignorance, is the obvious fact that IF THE ANTICHRIST APPEARS AS AN ANGEL OF LIGHT, THEN THOSE ATTRIBUTES THE ANTICHRIST WILL DEMONSTRATE ARE VIRTUES. The fact that the Anti-Christ will appear with many of the same values as good Progressives, doesn't invalidate those values. In fact, it means the opposite: IT MEANS THAT PROGRESSIVE VALUES ARE ANGELIC. 

But you cannot teach the unteachable. 

As for one world religion:  if the current Israeli conflict leads to World War Three/ Nuclear War, I would not blame the world for rejecting organized religion and outlawing it. People may have their private beliefs, but false religion has caused a great majority of the atrocities commited in history, and the worst examples of man's inhumanity to man, including the vast majority of all the persecutions of Jews.

[This is the end of poverty, wars, and animal consumption; characteristics of the Anti-Christ.]

As in Revelation, Solovyov talks about the Anti-Christ/One World Monarch, and also about his One World Religion High Priest: 

This High Priest, then, would be the instrument of the Abomination of Desolation. I believe he also would be one of the Beasts of the Book of Revelation. 

 To me, Bibi Netanyahu's coalition of far right wing extremist, racist and vigilante authoritarian bigots, in power during the October 7th attacks, whose negligence enabled their occurrence, is about as abominable as possible. In the name of preserving Jewish religion, a Jewish State, and national defense, the Temple of Jewish humanism and spiritual values and authentic Judaism, has been forever defiled, possibly ushering in truly apocalyptic times...
